This is one of a set of images that was actually taken in October 2005, but they have languished on my laptop. The night became amazingly fog-bound; I was with Simon and Vicky and when we saw the fog we grabbed cameras and rushed outside like kids excited about a spooky place.

April 12th. Jo and I head to London to crash the night with my sister. Squirt has acquired a number of pictures of dad. I think they're quite poigniant; this is the man I knew but my sister never did (due to his illness).

April 12th. This was my second visit to see/stay with my sister this year. After so many years of feeling isolated and rejected by her, I finally feel like she and I are blood-strong again. Squirt brewed up an amaaaaazing lentil and vegtable soup for us; we spent the night sitting in the kitchen, munching through it with several bottles of wine. Delish.

Nk is a fantastic character and a gem within Squirt's life; accepting of the differences between my sister and I during the bad years.
